“When you Tell One Lie it leads to Another”

To me this quote means that when you tell a lie you must keep telling lies just to cover up all the other lies. Lying is a bad thing to do because you can get caught and get into trouble. Lying means you're choosing the wrong and should be punished for that. For example, one time i lied to my mom about where i was. I had asked her if i can go out with a friend and she said no. I had no other choice but to lie to her because i had really wanted to go out. She called and asked where i was and i said at school, in that moment i was afraid to get caught, i was afraid because i had to keep lying and i had run out of things to say. Telling the truth is always the best choice, it keeps you out of trouble and it doesn't make you feel guilty.

Scorpion

This little boy Patrick Kearon wanted to go for a walk on the desert. Before leaving for a walk his parents told him to put his shoes on. He didn't listen and didn't put them on because he was lazy and being rebellious. He put on his flip flops which he himself considered shoes. While walking on the desert alone he came across a scorpion. The scorpion bit him on his foot and he was on the floor crying for help. His parents quickly ran to him and took him to the closest hospital which was 2 hours away. When at the hospital he came to a realization that  flip flops were not shoes. The bite of the scorpion was his consequence for not listening to his parents and for being lazy.

“Always do right.”

To me this quote has much to do with life. You should always make the right decisions became making bad ones won't get you anywhere in life. Making the right decisions in your life is a possibility of having a bright future. There is nothing better than always doing the right thing. Doing the wrong things will only bring consequences to your life but doing the right things brings success and much more. Doing right keeps you out of trouble and makes you feel good on the inside.

“World War ll”

1. The dates for WWll are September 1, 1932 - September 2, 1945
2. In WWll the countries that fought against each other were United States against the Axis alliance. The alliance consist of Germany, Italy Japan, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. These countries fought against the United States and other members of the Allied forces.
3. WWll took place all over the world including East Asia, Europe, and the islands in the Pacific Ocean.
4. Events that happened during WWll were the Holocaust, Anti-semitism, Germany invades Poland, and Battle of Midway.
5. We can honor and show respect for WWll veterans by attending a veterans day parade, moment of silence or placing flowers or flags on a veterans grave.

Challenges Teens Face Today

1. Several challenges teens deal today are Depression, Underage Sex, Drinking and Smoking, Child Abuse, Teen Pregnancy, and Stress etc.
2. Some major challenges i am dealing with today are Stress. I am trying my best to keep up so that i don't feel as stressed.
3. Being a CTR person helps overcome any challenges that i may face by like for example during hard times instead of drinking and smoking i go for a jog to get it off my mind. Helps me understand that bad things won't solve anything.
4. I can help other teens to overcome their challenges by talking to them and giving them advice. Another way is i can convince them to get help so they can better themselves for themselves.

6. The greatest need that a teen has is only caring about themselves. Teenagers are mostly worried about the way they look and fitting in.

To me this quote means that physical fitness is not the only thing to help you get a healthy body. It can also be the way you lead people to do better or help people succeed. Being kind is a way of having a healthy body because you feel so good about yourself after helping others. Such as you

also feel good about yourself when you do physical fitness. You get what you give and when you give kindness you receive it back. Having a healthy body in either a physical fitness way or in a kind way it is the best thing to do for yourself and for they way people view you. Having a healthy body gives you a happy mind and heart. You can live the life you love and live it to the fullest.

Duties and responsibilities: Does research on different medical topics in order to find the latest information available. These librarians are in charge of arranging and distributing clinical, scientific, and biomedical information for texts, journals, and electronic databases.

I don't think i would want to study to be a health science librarian. It seems interesting but then again i'd rather work with something else in the medical field.

To me this quote means that when you are kind something great could possibly happen to you. Being kind is being polite. Saying excuse me, i'm sorry, forgiving, it's like having manners. When being kind to people they will be kind back. You give what you get, if you're rude to someone they will be rude back and if you respect them they will respect you. Kindness is something that makes you a great person. For example, if someone is in your way and you try getting by say excuse me instead of bumping into them or saying move. Another example could be, if someone is talking toy you look at them in the eyes so they know that you care and actually are paying attention to what they're saying. Kindness can have many good outcomes.

Thanksgiving week off

Thanksgiving Week

During the break i stood home and slept in. I didn't do much, on Thursday which was Thanksgiving day i went over to my cousins house and spent the day with my family. I went to the pink store at the mall to spoil myself. I watched my favorite movie “The Notebook”. I had also watched movies for my AP Spanish class so i could get extra credit. I did lots of homework. So much that it didn't even feel like a break off of school. I did history homework, Spanish homework, chemistry homework, math homework, and English homework. I didn't get to complete it all but i tried my best to do so.I stayed home on the weekend because it was raining and it was a lazy weekend. Me and my sisters were home alone and watched movies all day. My weekend off would have been so much better if i didn't have any homework to worry about.

This quote by Marcus Aurelius is very powerful. I can say this quote is very powerful because if you do something that is not right you will get into trouble. For example, drinking is not right. Drinking isn't right and if you drink you can cause and get into trouble. If it is not true do not say it. I love that because for example, today in this generation there is a lot of people who love to get into people's businesses. I dislike those kind of people because then they go around saying things that are not even true. I really like this quote because it says a lot.

“Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”

I believe this quote means that making the right choices means much more than winning or losing. Being fair in whatever it is you’re doing is better than losing or winning. It’s good to be fair because at the end of the day you’ll know you made the right decision. For example, in a game it shouldn't be about winning or losing it should be about playing fair and having fun. Sure winning is nice and of course losing sucks but playing fair is best.

What this quote by Mark Twain means to me is that being honest is the best thing to always do. People are always afraid of the truth but it's better to be told the truth than to be lied to. The way i think of it is lying gets you nowhere and being honest makes you a good person for being able to admit something. An example of being honest is cheating then admitting that you cheated and not keeping it a secret. Like if lets say a guy is cheating on a girl and he admits it to her by saying “i've been seeing someone else” instead of just going on with the relationship and making the girl look like a fool. An example of dishonesty is telling your mom you're at a friends house but in reality you're out doing drugs. Being honest is always the right thing to do even if it means hurting someone. 1. Veterans day is a holiday that occurs on the day that WW1 ended. It honors all victims and veterans from the war.

3. The purpose of veterans day is to honor all people who were in WW1.
4. I think it is important because its a way of acknowledging all the sacrifices they made while serving their country.

8. Being able to honor veterans makes me feel happy. It makes me feel happy because knowing of everything they did to protect our countries was hard work. It was scary, hurtful, tiring. They did all they could and always fought for our rights. It makes me happy because without them we wouldn't have the rights we have today. The least i can do is honor them for who they are as a person and for serving our country.

Never be afraid of doing the right thing for your own good. If someone is telling you the truth about something believe it. Dont deny it just because it hurt your feelings or got you upset. You should learn to accept it and face it. Doing the right thing because it's right is a great thing to do. For example standing up for yourself is always the right thing to do. Sometimes you have to be the bigger person and just let things go. Everything will always happen for a reason even if we don't know what that reason is.

What this quote means to me is that if you hang around with good people you won't do bad things. Hanging out with the right people can make you stay out of trouble. Wise people are smart and always choose the right. For example hanging around with people who care about school and their education will make you make better choices. If you're the type of person to hang around with fools then you aren't making any good decisions. Fools are people who don't care about anything. They don't care about school, or their future. For example people who are always drinking and doing drugs are people who don't choose the right. Staying away from fools and being close to wise people is 100% better.

This video was about a prison who had a basketball team. This team had really good behavior. Although they had no fans to cheer them on theyd still play. Their behavior was so good that they were sometimes able to lesve. They could have done something they shouldnt have but they did the right thing. This shows that choosinf the right is always the best thing to do.

What this quote means to me is that if you think something is right and other people go against it and think it's wrong, it doesn't mean you're not right. For example school uniforms. Students can ask why they wear their school uniforms and they respond "because i have to" and other students could say "no you don't have to wear it." Ten out of many students will do the right thing while others go against it. Just because everyone is up for doing something that isn't right doesn't make it right. Wrong is wrong even if other people disagree. For example, if your group of friends are willing to drink alcohol and do drugs it doesn't make it right. It is obviously the wrong thing to do and i believe just because other people do it, it doesn't make it right.

What this quote by Peter Vidmar means to me is that dont do what you want to do now instead of doing what you want most for you. For example, if you want to watch television but have homework then you should be smart enough to do your homework first instead. I think that because if you dont do your homework you get a bad grade, and you can always watch television but you cant go back to fix things sometimes. I learned that things that are more important should always get done first because then if you do something you want to do it wont get you anywhere.

Homecoming

1. A homecoming is a highschool, college, or university game, dance, or another event that students are invited to.
2. The history of homecoming comes from football games at colleges or universitys since the 19th century.
3. We do homecoming at schools to encourage students to have school spirit and pride.

5. I think it is called the homecoming game because football players return victorious after a conquering tour, and the alumni return home to their school. 
6. Homecoming ettquette is taken place every fall, all homecoming are semi-formal but of course some schools may have dress codes.

My opinion on homecoming is that its a very creative tradition. Homecoming football games are always more exciting than every other games throughout the season. The school dance is usually something fun because you get to be with your friends and stuff. Another reason is because more school spirit is shown when the football players are out on the feild.

           What this quote means to me is that just by the sound of a persons name you can visualize the type of person that they are. Whether they are good or bad you can always tell by the looks of it. For example when applying to a school the administrators can tell how you are just by your name or your looks. They can look at your transcripts and either decline or accept you due to the fact of the comments on them. You can tell by the way they are, Nice, Mean, Funny. Some people can look innocent yet be very guilty. Having a good name tells people how you are and how you behave. Having a bad name shows that you may most of the time be disbehaving and feeling guilty. Its always best to do good that way people see you as a good person.

If whats best is isolating yourself from them because they are bad influences then its best if you do. Choosing the right is always a good thing to do. Doing something bad wont get you anywhere so its good to always try and make the right choices. If people are trying to get you to do things you shouldnt then they really arent considered friends. Friends should never tell you to do things you shouldnt, they should encourage you to always do your best and be good. If they are choosing the wrong always be the bigger person and help them understand that what theyre doing is not right. Be the light and guide them to all the good things they can be doing instead.
