Physical Fitness

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”

To me this quote means that physical fitness is not the only thing to help you get a healthy body. It can also be the way you lead people to do better or help people succeed. Being kind is a way of having a healthy body because you feel so good about yourself after helping others. Such as you

also feel good about yourself when you do physical fitness. You get what you give and when you give kindness you receive it back. Having a healthy body in either a physical fitness way or in a kind way it is the best thing to do for yourself and for they way people view you. Having a healthy body gives you a happy mind and heart. You can live the life you love and live it to the fullest.

Health Science Librarian

Duties and responsibilities: Does research on different medical topics in order to find the latest information available. These librarians are in charge of arranging and distributing clinical, scientific, and biomedical information for texts, journals, and electronic databases.

Salary: $80,170

Education: To become a professional health science librarian, you must first complete a high school education with courses in science, math, and information technology and management. A bachelor’s degree in life sciences should then be followed by a master’s degree in library science which is licensed through the American Library Association. Typical coursework in the master’s program includes classes in bio medicine, literature, communications, library management and organization, bibliographic resource usage, and standard cataloging systems.

Demand for this profession: A professional working in an executive federal position could earn as much as $80,170 while those working in a legal field earned around $68,750.

I don't think i would want to study to be a health science librarian. It seems interesting but then again i'd rather work with something else in the medical field.

“Kindness is the essence of greatness.”

To me this quote means that when you are kind something great could possibly happen to you. Being kind is being polite. Saying excuse me, i'm sorry, forgiving, it's like having manners. When being kind to people they will be kind back. You give what you get, if you're rude to someone they will be rude back and if you respect them they will respect you. Kindness is something that makes you a great person. For example, if someone is in your way and you try getting by say excuse me instead of bumping into them or saying move. Another example could be, if someone is talking toy you look at them in the eyes so they know that you care and actually are paying attention to what they're saying. Kindness can have many good outcomes.

Thanksgiving week off

Thanksgiving Week

During the break i stood home and slept in. I didn't do much, on Thursday which was Thanksgiving day i went over to my cousins house and spent the day with my family. I went to the pink store at the mall to spoil myself. I watched my favorite movie “The Notebook”. I had also watched movies for my AP Spanish class so i could get extra credit. I did lots of homework. So much that it didn't even feel like a break off of school. I did history homework, Spanish homework, chemistry homework, math homework, and English homework. I didn't get to complete it all but i tried my best to do so.I stayed home on the weekend because it was raining and it was a lazy weekend. Me and my sisters were home alone and watched movies all day. My weekend off would have been so much better if i didn't have any homework to worry about.

This quote by Marcus Aurelius is very powerful. I can say this quote is very powerful because if you do something that is not right you will get into trouble. For example, drinking is not right. Drinking isn't right and if you drink you can cause and get into trouble. If it is not true do not say it. I love that because for example, today in this generation there is a lot of people who love to get into people's businesses. I dislike those kind of people because then they go around saying things that are not even true. I really like this quote because it says a lot.

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is the 1621 celebration at the Plymouth Plantation, where the religious refugees from England known popularly as the Pilgrims invited the local Native Americans to a harvest feast after a particularly successful growing season. The previous year's harvests had failed and in the winter of 1620 half of the pilgrims had starved to death. Luckily for the rest, members of the local Wampanoag tribe taught the Pilgrims how to grow corn, beans and squash (the Three Sisters); catch fish, and collect seafood. There are only two contemporary accounts of the 1621 Thanksgiving, but it's clear that Turkey was not on the menu. The three-day feast included goose, lobster, cod and deer.

Doing what is right, fair, and honorable

“Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”

I believe this quote means that making the right choices means much more than winning or losing. Being fair in whatever it is you’re doing is better than losing or winning. It’s good to be fair because at the end of the day you’ll know you made the right decision. For example, in a game it shouldn't be about winning or losing it should be about playing fair and having fun. Sure winning is nice and of course losing sucks but playing fair is best.

Honesty

“Honesty is the best policy”

What this quote by Mark Twain means to me is that being honest is the best thing to always do. People are always afraid of the truth but it's better to be told the truth than to be lied to. The way i think of it is lying gets you nowhere and being honest makes you a good person for being able to admit something. An example of being honest is cheating then admitting that you cheated and not keeping it a secret. Like if lets say a guy is cheating on a girl and he admits it to her by saying “i've been seeing someone else” instead of just going on with the relationship and making the girl look like a fool. An example of dishonesty is telling your mom you're at a friends house but in reality you're out doing drugs. Being honest is always the right thing to do even if it means hurting someone. Were all grown!!!! Say what it is, how it is, and what it ain't.

Veterans Day

1. Veterans day is a holiday that occurs on the day that WW1 ended. It honors all victims and veterans from the war.
2. Veterans day is on November 11
3. The purpose of veterans day is to honor all people who were in WW1.
4. I think it is important because its a way of acknowledging all the sacrifices they made while serving their country.
5. Attend a veterans day event, Hang up a flag,Visit the gravesite of a veteran, Ask a veteran about their time in the military and really listen to the answer.

7. Veterans day is sometimes confused with memorial day to some people. Memorial Day (the fourth Monday in May) honors American service members who died in service to their country or as a result of injuries incurred during battle, while Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans living or dead but especially gives thanks to living veterans who served their country.
8. Being able to honor veterans makes me feel happy. It makes me feel happy because knowing of everything they did to protect our countries was hard work. It was scary, hurtful, tiring. They did all they could and always fought for our rights. It makes me happy because without them we wouldn't have the rights we have today. The least i can do is honor them for who they are as a person and for serving our country.

3. Do the right thing because it is right.

What these bullet points mean to me is that when someone is telling you to do something you know you shouldn't be doing you should know to say no. Never be afraid of doing the right thing for your own good. If someone is telling you the truth about something believe it. Dont deny it just because it hurt your feelings or got you upset. You should learn to accept it and face it. Doing the right thing because it's right is a great thing to do. For example standing up for yourself is always the right thing to do. Sometimes you have to be the bigger person and just let things go. Everything will always happen for a reason even if we don't know what that reason is.

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion by fools shall be destroyed.”

What this quote means to me is that if you hang around with good people you won't do bad things. Hanging out with the right people can make you stay out of trouble. Wise people are smart and always choose the right. For example hanging around with people who care about school and their education will make you make better choices. If you're the type of person to hang around with fools then you aren't making any good decisions. Fools are people who don't care about anything. They don't care about school, or their future. For example people who are always drinking and doing drugs are people who don't choose the right. Staying away from fools and being close to wise people is 100% better.

This video was about a prison who had a basketball team. This team had really good behavior. Although they had no fans to cheer them on theyd still play. Their behavior was so good that they were sometimes able to lesve. They could have done something they shouldnt have but they did the right thing. This shows that choosinf the right is always the best thing to do.

What this quote means to me is that when doing something good for someone something good happens to you. Doing something good for someone for example like helping an elderly person cross the street. That is a very nice thing to do and doing something small like that can mean something good will happen to you in return. Big smiles warm hearts and so do kind attitudes. You shouldn't wait for something good in your life to happen you have to make it happen.
