What are a few theories behind April fools day?

April fool’s day was provided by Joseph Boskin a professor of History at Boston University, he explained that the practice began during the reign of Constantine when a group of court jesters and fools told the Roman emperor that they could do a better job of running the empire. Constantine, amused, allowed a jester named Kugel to be king for 1 day. Kugel passed an edict calling for absurdity on that day, and the custom became an annual event.

What are a few pros and cons of April fools day?   

One pro for April fool’s day is that you get to have fun. One con is that they can get hurt not only physically to but emotionally.

Reflection: I don’t think I would like to be one because it doesn’t seem that interesting to me. They get paid kind of good but I think I would like to go to a different health career topic.

Well this semester has been so busy for me because so many projects have been coming up and I have to keep track on what’s due so I could pick up my grade. Also I’ve been dealing what some personal problems at school that I just don’t have time for right now. My emotions are all mixed up right now sometimes I just feel like not going to school and live somewhere far and start new/ fresh and meeting new people, but I know that I can’t because I have to be going to school to get a good career and so I can help my family around. Also in some of my classes it is very difficult to do the work because they either teach fast or I just can’t understand them, even though I ask for help it’s not enough because they still teach me in the same way. School is mostly taking over my life and priorities; we never have time to do anything for ourselves because of homework’s, assignments, projects, or late work we have to be doing. All I know is that I have to stay in school because that’s the law I guess. This sometimes gets me stressed so much because I feel like I’m never going to get it done or my work isn’t going to be the way the teacher wants its and I’m going to have to redo it and it was all that time gone to waste. Furthermore the school is small and you have nowhere to go to.  Also there are some people I don’t like and they just irritate me because of their actions.

The video we saw was about this middle school football team this boy named Keith and Justin. Keith had a special problem and was part of a football team, his team wanted to make him feel special like he was actually part of the team. The team made a plan to make him make a touchdown so people can be proud of him. Keith was so glad his teammates were helping him. Justin made him feel part of the team and made him feel popular like if they had Keith’s back, Justin said, “This would’ve never crossed my mind.” Justin felt proud he helped someone in his team. If I were to be Justin I would do the same because doing something like this is very kind.

Reflection: What this quote by George Mitchell means is that you can do it by yourself without any drugs or anything rather than drugs. You have to try hard to achieve your goal. If you’re going to cheat then why join or even do the job. Cheating won’t get you anywhere in life, you have to learn even if it’s the hard way. In sports even though you use any type of drug it will still affect you because your body will be addicted to it. All those awards you get won’t be worth it if you cheat because in the end you know you cheated and didn't do it on your own.

Reflection: Certain drugs can increase sensitivity to sunlight and may cause skin reactions as a result of light therapy. Some other side effects of light therapy are minimal. Some patients report headaches, eyestrain or eye irritation or nausea when they begin treatment.

Mitch Mickey was in the 9nth grade. His dad was diagnosed with cancer. Every morning at 6:00 A.M Mitch Mickey would go to the weight room to lift weights. Mitch Mickey had joined in on a restuling match against a person in a different school than him. He was doing all this for his dad just to make him happy. Mitch Mickey had won his first restuling match and continued winning. He made it to the finals and won. His opponent went to Mitch Mickeys dad and told him " stay strong ". Mitch Mickey then went and hugged his dad and didnt let him go. I think Mitch Mickey did a good thing. I think he did a good thing because he just wanted to make his dad who has cancer happy and he did.

Community health workers collect data and discuss health concerns with members of specific populations or communities.

Education: Health educators need a bachelor’s degree. Many employers require the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential. Requirements for community health workers vary, although they typically have at least a high school diploma and must complete a brief period of on-the-job training. Some states have certification programs for community health workers.

Reflection: I probably would like to become a Health Educator because it seems like a nice job to have. Another reason is because they get paid well and I would like to be able to teach people about behaviors that promote wellness.
