Forgiveness
This story begins with a drunk driver Eric Smallridge driving under the influence of alcohol one
night. He was accused of manslaughter and was sentenced 22 year in prison. He
was charged with manslaughter because that night he was DUI he had an accident with a another vehicle. In
that vehicle there were two girls Megan and Lisa who were of 20 years of age.
They both died in impact. Eric's sentence was reduced to 11 years because of
Megan's mother Renee. Renee contacted the judge and said Eric has paid for his
mistakes. So the judge did cut his years in prison to 11 years. Now Renee and
Eric visit schools all over the country to talk about abusing alcohol and
driving under the influence.Renee has forgiven Eric and Eric is truly sorry for
his mistakes.
