A lady was at a store buying something with a new born baby in her hands. She slid her credit card through the machine and it didn't go through. She then took out her wallet and was looking for money. She was having a difficult time because she had a baby in her hands. The guy that was after her in line saw her struguling so he took out some money and paid for her things.

Reflection: I think this was very nice of the guy because he was doing something kind for that lady.

Thanks Giving

Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest of the preceding Several other places around the world observe similar celebrations. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Prayers of thanks and special thanksgiving ceremonies are common among almost all regions after harvests and at other times. The thanksgiving holiday’s history in North America is rooted in English traditions dating from the Protestant Reformation. Pilgrims and Puritans who began emigrating from England in the 1620’s and 1630’s carried the tradition of Days of Fasting and Days of Thanksgiving with them to New England. Thanksgiving proclamations were made mostly by church leaders in New England up until 1682 and then both state and church leaders until after the American Revolution. Thanksgiving, currently celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November by federal legislation in 1941, had been an annual tradition in the United States by presidential proclamation since 1863 and by state legislation since the founding fathers of the United States. Historically, Thanksgiving has traditionally been a celebration of the blessings of the (agricultural) year, including the harvest year.

Reflection: Thanksgiving is a day to sit around a table and be thankful for what you have.

Reflection: I would like to be a Dental assistant because you can learn from what the dentist does while you’re helping them also you can help the office to go along faster and tis not that bad of a job.

Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day: Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving. It is a federal holiday that id observed on November 11^th. Major hostilities of War World 1 were formally ended at the 11^th hour of the month 11^th and day 11^th of 1918.  Veterans Day was moved to the fourth Monday of October, in 1978 it was moved back to its original celebration on November 11^th. President Reagan honored Weeks at the White House with the presidential Citizenship medal in 1982 as the driving force for the national holiday.  Though the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919, November 11^th remained in the public imagination as the date that marked the end of the Great War. An unidentified American soldier killed in the war was buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.; the U.S. Congress had declared the day a legal federal holiday in honor of all those who participated in the war. On June 4, 1926, Congress passes a resolution that the “recurring anniversary of Nov.11^th, 1918 should be commemorated with thanksgiving and prayer exercises designed to perpetuate peace through good will and mutual understanding between nations.”

         

Reflection: what this day is mostly about is appreciating the people who fought for our country so that we could be free. Many volunteers had died and left they’re family so that we can have the ability to make our lives however we want if it wasn't for them this country would've been ruled by a person who chooses the wrong and would've turned this place into bad.

Duties and Responsibilities: Dance therapists work with adults and children who are suffering symptoms including depression, anxiety, physical/psychiatric/neurological disorders, learning difficulties, dementia, autism, behavioural problems or congenital/emotional problems.

Education: Dance therapists are required to have a master’s degree, which entails at least two years of graduate level education after completing a four year college degree. The undergraduate education should include a liberal arts background, plus extensive dance training and experience, according to the ADTA.

Reflection: I would not want to be a dance therapist because I’m not good with communicating. Also, I wouldn’t like to dance in front of people.
