This saying by Mr.Haymore is a really good thing that people should live by. Choosing the right can be quite hard at times but at the end of the day it is always worth it. Staying out of trouble will keep you from receiving consequences and will show you make good choices. I am pretty grateful to have been one of the students here at Marquez to learn about choosing the right. This saying will take me a long way in life and will help me make the best choices. For example, if i go out with some friends and they try to convince me to do drugs and i say no then i am making a CTR action. There is no better feeling than making the right choices and staying out of trouble. One bad choice can ruin your life and One good choice can change your life. Being a CTR person can be very hard because many things can be tempting but the harder the better. Challenging yourself to do good shows how much of a good/hard worker you are. I will carry this saying “CTR” throughout my life and see where it takes me.

This quote is very meaningful and very true. What this quote means is that when you invest your time on something that isn't good it will not be worth it but when you invest your time on something great it never fails you. This is saying that when you invest your time on good things it gets you places and investing your time on badness gets you nowhere. For example, Investing your time on something good would be like going to school. Investing your time on school is goodness because eventually all that time and work that was put into it will have a great outcome. An example of badness is doing drugs every day. This is badness because when you do drugs it is unhealthy and it gets you nowhere in life. It's much better to invest your time on good things rather than on bad because it's best to be educated and successful rather than to be a low life with no future. Investing your time on good things don't fail you because they are good and doing good things means that you are choosing the right. Investing your time on relationships and friendships when you are still young is badness because people never really have good intentions and it's best to focus on things that will provide you a great future like your education.

To me this quote means that if you do your part in something that you know is not right you are a part of lying even if you try to hide it. Lying is a bad thing because eventually the truth is known. It is always better to tell the truth that way you are not caught up into trouble. Telling the truth makes you a CTR person and that is a good thing because a CTR person never gets into trouble. For example, if you're at a store and your friends say you steal this and this and this and you think you won't get caught, eventually you will because the truth always comes out one way or another. In that moment of stealing you didn't think about the consequences and you know what you were doing was wrong but you did it anyways.

To me this quote means that you are only doing the right thing when telling the whole thing. For example, if i go out with some friends and we tell our parents were only going to go eat but end up going to eat and to do drugs and we get home and our mom asks us where we went and we only say to eat it is bad because we are not saying the whole truth.It's like only saying half the truth when you should say the whole truth. Not saying the whole truth is considered lying which is not good. Lying can turn into a habit and can get you into trouble.

To me this quote means that who you hang around with is who you are. It defines who you are because of the way you may act when with them.For example, hanging around with people who do good in school, have good grades, and want the best for themselves will be the type of friends to encourage you to do good. Another example is people who do drugs, party every week, miss school a lot, have bad grades, and don't listen are the type of friends that will get you nowhere in life. If i were to chose what kind of friends i wanted id chose to do good so i can be good. If i had no other option i'd rather to be alone than in bad company.

In order to be right you can for example, be respectful and kind to others. Choosing the right is another way you can be right.

Challenges Teens Face Today

1. Several challenges teens deal today are Depression, Underage Sex, Drinking and Smoking, Child Abuse, Teen Pregnancy, and Stress etc.
2. Some major challenges i am dealing with today are Stress. I am trying my best to keep up so that i don't feel as stressed.
3. Being a CTR person helps overcome any challenges that i may face by like for example during hard times instead of drinking and smoking i go for a jog to get it off my mind. Helps me understand that bad things won't solve anything.
4. I can help other teens to overcome their challenges by talking to them and giving them advice. Another way is i can convince them to get help so they can better themselves for themselves.

6. The greatest need that a teen has is only caring about themselves. Teenagers are mostly worried about the way they look and fitting in.

I believe this quote means that making the right choices means much more than winning or losing. Being fair in whatever it is you’re doing is better than losing or winning. It’s good to be fair because at the end of the day you’ll know you made the right decision. For example, in a game it shouldn't be about winning or losing it should be about playing fair and having fun. Sure winning is nice and of course losing sucks but playing fair is best.

What this quote means to me is that if you hang around with good people you won't do bad things. Hanging out with the right people can make you stay out of trouble. Wise people are smart and always choose the right. For example hanging around with people who care about school and their education will make you make better choices. If you're the type of person to hang around with fools then you aren't making any good decisions. Fools are people who don't care about anything. They don't care about school, or their future. For example people who are always drinking and doing drugs are people who don't choose the right. Staying away from fools and being close to wise people is 100% better.

What this quote means to me is that if you think something is right and other people go against it and think it's wrong, it doesn't mean you're not right. For example school uniforms. Students can ask why they wear their school uniforms and they respond "because i have to" and other students could say "no you don't have to wear it." Ten out of many students will do the right thing while others go against it. Just because everyone is up for doing something that isn't right doesn't make it right. Wrong is wrong even if other people disagree. For example, if your group of friends are willing to drink alcohol and do drugs it doesn't make it right. It is obviously the wrong thing to do and i believe just because other people do it, it doesn't make it right.

           What this quote means to me is that just by the sound of a persons name you can visualize the type of person that they are. Whether they are good or bad you can always tell by the looks of it. For example when applying to a school the administrators can tell how you are just by your name or your looks. They can look at your transcripts and either decline or accept you due to the fact of the comments on them. You can tell by the way they are, Nice, Mean, Funny. Some people can look innocent yet be very guilty. Having a good name tells people how you are and how you behave. Having a bad name shows that you may most of the time be disbehaving and feeling guilty. Its always best to do good that way people see you as a good person.

Monson means to me is that if your friends are trying to get yo to do something you shouldnt like let say drink then you must stand up for yourself and say you wont do it. If whats best is isolating yourself from them because they are bad influences then its best if you do. Choosing the right is always a good thing to do. Doing something bad wont get you anywhere so its good to always try and make the right choices. If people are trying to get you to do things you shouldnt then they really arent considered friends. Friends should never tell you to do things you shouldnt, they should encourage you to always do your best and be good. If they are choosing the wrong always be the bigger person and help them understand that what theyre doing is not right. Be the light and guide them to all the good things they can be doing instead.

You become a champion when doing good things because making the right choices is always what's best. Choosing the right is good because it can make you feel good and not guilty at all. There can be many types of champions from relationships, sports, or decisions. I feel like when making decisions it is something you should always be really careful about. Making the right decisions can make you a champion. For example, if i bought a homeless guy food and it made him happy id be a champion because i did something good. Doing the right things can make you really happy.Nothing is better than feeling good about something you did. Choose the right and you'll be a champion.

i wouldn't want this to be my career because it doesn't seem interesting at all. i feel like i wouldn't enjoy this job and when i work i want it to be something i like to do. The salary is okay but im sure theres better things out there than this.

What this quote means to me is that when you set goals for yourself you must accomplish them. If you don't set any goals for yourself there's no way you'll accomplish any. Setting goals for yourself is a great thing because it'll benefit you in your future. Setting goals for yourself is a really important thing because you can get good outcomes out of them. When setting one you need to make sure you get one and accomplish one. For example, if i set a goal like, " I will graduate high school, get my diploma, and go to college." I will make sure it gets accomplished because it is very important to me. One time i made a goal saying i always want to make my mom proud, but i had already failed at accomplishing it because i always seem to disappoint her. I think i would want to be a medical technician because i feel like it'd be something i enjoy doing. I love to help others when needed and i feel like this would be a great job. Another reason would be because i want to work with something in the medical field. Though this job doesn't pay much you help others which makes you feel good about yourself.

I would like to become a registered nurse because i want to help others. Another reason is because it really interests me and i believe i could do it. Helping others has always been something big for me and i love to do it. I love to help others because it makes me feel good on the inside. Ever since i was younger ive wanted to become one and i hope one day i will.
